What is a stomp pad?

A stomp pad is a small piece of textured rubber or foam that is attached to the top of a snowboard near the rear binding. It is used to provide extra grip for the back foot when getting on and off the chairlift, skating through flat areas, or when riding one-footed. Stomp pads come in various shapes, sizes, and designs, and can be easily attached to the snowboard with adhesive backing. They are a useful accessory for snowboarders to prevent slipping and improve control while riding.
